This We Pray

This powerful message confronts us with a sobering reality: we are living in the midst of a spiritual war, yet we often take for granted our greatest weapon—direct access to God through prayer.

Just as we've grown accustomed to the miracle of instant communication through cell phones, we've forgotten that before Christ, speaking to God required elaborate rituals, sacrifices, and priestly intercession. Now, through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we have an open line to the Creator at any moment. Yet how often do we leave that connection unused?

Drawing from 1 Peter 5:8-9, we're reminded that our enemy prowls like a lion, seeking to isolate us from the flock. The devil cannot change our identity in Christ, but he desperately wants us to question it, to wander away, to neglect prayer and community.

This message challenges us to stand firm in three crucial areas: praying against our spiritual enemy, praying for our spiritual family with genuine sacrificial love, and praying for our salvific mission to reach the lost. The question isn't whether we can make a difference—it's whether we'll pick up the weapons God has given us and actually use them.
